Unicode and Text Inspector
Inspect UTF-8 bytes, Unicode code points, line endings and invisible characters in pasted text.
How to use this utility
A JavaScript string can contain a different number of UTF-16 code units, Unicode code points, and user-perceived grapheme clusters. This tool distinguishes those counts, reports UTF-8 byte size, identifies mixed line endings and counts tabs, non-breaking spaces and zero-width spaces. Word counts are approximate, not a language-aware word-break specification. Grapheme counts require Intl.Segmenter; older browsers will report that measurement as unavailable. It never sends your input to a server.
Local processing: This page performs calculations in your browser. It does not make remote API requests, persist your input, or send telemetry. Input is capped to protect responsiveness.
